Two-Tone Covers Series: Crystal Castles

Following the lead of illustrator Robot Johnny, I’m trying my hand at drawing album covers with no more than three colours, including black and white. I thought this would be a good illustration exercise, as well as good practice in drawing in photoshop with my wacom tablet. Turns out it’s difficult to do without making it look like it was done in MS Paint.

My second attempt at freestyle embroidery. This one was a labour of love for my friend Heather, who is a big fan of the virgin of guadalupe. And I just really wanted to try out the gold thread. The second photo shows the glisten a bit better. Yeah, glisten. She said it was the best “birthday present ever“, so I was pleased.
